Abstract
589,017. Mechanical switches. BOOTH, E. R. March 15, 1945, No. 6549. [Class 38 (v)] In a change-over switch for radio apparatus, a pair of movable contact plates G, each bridging an arcuate contact A and a series of concentric contacts B, are carried by opposite arms of a spring blade F, which is carried by a spindle E rotatable in a screw-threaded mounting bush D. The ends of the blade F are located in slots K in insulating carrying-pads H for the contact plates G, so that the latter are self-aligning. A positioning ball M seated in a third arm of the blade F, registers with recesses or protuberances in a plate N. In Fig. 3 (not shown) two balls M are carried in a cruciform spring blade.
