[Class 20 (iv)] A pre-formed reinforced concrete beam, e.g., for floors and roofs comprises a framework formed exclusively of rods or wires having its top portion embedded in a thin concrete slab and the remainder projecting below, The'framework may be formed of galvanized steel wires welded together in the flat and afterwards bent as shown in Fig. 2, where it comprises upper and lower longitudinal members 1, 4 and transverse members 2, 3. The edges of the slabs 5 taper so as to provide grouting channels between adjacent beams. A modification is shown in Fig. 5 in which diagonal members 10 connect lower reinforcements 9 with the embedded reinforcements 7, 8.
