Abstract

585,903. Gear-cases for cycles. SPEEDWELL GEAR CASE CO., Ltd., and BEESLEY, W. H. Dec. 13, 1944, No. 24956. [Class 136 (i)] [Also in Group XXV] A cycle gear-case has a forward attachment clip detachably secured to it by means comprising a slotted box-like body 11 secured to the gear-case 10 and retaining a nut 9 for engagement by a screw 18 which passes through part of the attachment clip, the arrangement being such that the clip can be adjusted to suit the diagonal tube of the cycle by limited bodily movement along the slot and pivotal movement at right angles to the side of the gear-case. The clip comprises two part semicircular members 22, 23 hinged together by a slot 25 and hook 24. The two parts of the clip 14, 15 are joined together at the top by a screw 28 and nut 29.
