[Class 60] A device for forming the surface of a grinding- wheel comprises a steel wheel a with fine serrations or teeth a' in its periphery, adapted to be pressed against the periphery of the grinding-wheel, rotation of the wheel a being ensured by providing at one end a resilient annulus or disc b, which contacts the grinding- wheel. The annulus b may be formed of asbestos, fibre, cork or indiarubber, or may comprise a number of spring-loaded segments ; as shown, the annulus is mounted on a steel spacing ring b<1>, the parts being held in position by screwed rings c, d.
