581,260. Impeller blades. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, & CIE. Aug. 15, 1944, No. 15539. Convention date, July 20, 1943. [Class 110 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] In making impellers for centrifugal pumps and compressors wherein the blades 3 are arranged between a hub disc 1 and a cover disc 2, the blades are first welded to the cover disc at 5, and are subsequently fixed to the hub disc 1. After being welded to the cover disc the blades are machined or ground at 6 and welded or soldered to the hub disc, or are machined to provide milledout rivets 7 and are riveted to the hub disc.
