Abstract

579,783. Turbine blades. ARMSTRONG SIDDELEY MOTORS, Ltd., and HEPPNER, F. A. M. Dec. 8, 1943, No. 20555. [Class 110 (iii)] The individual shrouding elements 23 of turbine blades have interengaging slots and projections with oppositely inclined edges to guard against relative radial or lateral movement. The. slot may comprise a narrow slot 25 cut in the floor of a broader slot 26, the slots being cut in oppositely inclined directions. The invention is shown in a two-tier blade ring, the blades of which are held by spiral ridges as described in Specification 571,439. Specification 579,784 also is referred to.
