579,071. Refrigerators. EARLE, G. L. C. Feb. 12, 1941, No. 1915. Convention date, Feb. 10, 1940. [Class 29] A refrigerator which may form part of a kitchen cabinet comprises a lower portion 12 having an opening in the upper part and a separate narrower upper portion 13 having an opening in the lower part adapted to coincide with the opening in the lower portion 12, an evaporator 33 secured in the upper portion being supplied with refrigerant by tubes 32 passing through a gasket 31 at the junction between the upper and lower portions, either at the back as shown or at the side. The compressor and condenser are located in a separate compartment under a sink. The lower portion contains drawers 23 and forms a table 15 and the upper portion is surmounted by a cupboard 14. Doors 27 are provided for the evaporator and food compartments, and a baffle 40 directs cold air into the drawers 23. The parts may be recessed into the wall 120. U.S.A.
