Abstract

577,157. Body armour. RANDOLPH, H. B. May 2, 1944, No. 8222. [Class 141] The front and back portions of a bullet-proof garment, such as that described in Specification 552,488, are detachably connected in wear. As shown, the front portion 1 is attached to shoulder straps 3 of the back portion 2 by means of press buttons 5. Straps 6 attached to the back have their free ends connected to a strip 7 by press' buttons 8. The strip 7 is connected to the flaps 4 by cords 9 passing beneath the front for most of their length. A pull member 11, attached to the strip 7 is adapted to release the straps 6 and the shoulder straps 3. The front part may be formed with an apron portion 12 connected to the part 1 by press buttons 14.
