[Class 44] A door fastening comprises a spring-loaded catch c of segmental form having the axis of its pivot d parallel with the adjacent edge of the door and an actuating cam member k having its axis at right-angles to that of the catch, the cam surface being formed on a peripheral lip of the cam member and engaging a projection g of the catch. The cam member is loaded by a coil spring l.
