Abstract
576,468. Grinding mills. SOC. ANON. USINES E. HENRICOT. Jan 5, 1940, No. 341. Convention date, Jan. 20, 1939. [Class 59] In mills of the type in which internal projections have parts on to which grinding bodies are free to drop and are prevented thereby from striking the casing of the mill, the projections are so spaced that the grinding bodies are prevented by the tops of the projections from striking the casing, the tops becoming hammer hardened and forming the working surface. As shown in Fig. 1 the projections 3 are conical and are provided with cavities 4 which prevent uneven shrinkage in casting the part: Fig. 2 shows a form in which T-shaped projections 5, 6 are provided. In other forms the projections are in the form of rails of different heights crossing at right-angles.
