Abstract

575,037. Closures for jars &c. CROWN CORK & SEAL CO., Inc. Feb. 21, 1944, No. 3218. Convention date, Feb. 19, 1943. [Class 125 (iii)] The mouth of a jar 10 or other container is provided with an annular projection 13 beneath which lugs 19 on the closure flange 16 resiliently engage, projection 21 located between the lugs 19 abutting the edge of the annulus 13 to restrict the flexing of the flange when the closure is being levered open. A washer 18 completes the closure.
