Abstract
574,227. R÷ntgen-ray tubes. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd. (General Electric Co.). Nov. 3, 1943, No. 18183. [Class 39 (i)] Cracking of the rotating tungsten target 41 due to differential expansion between it and the copper supporting base 31 is avoided by providing a groove 35 isolating the active target surface from the base, to which it is connected only at the central non-apertured portion 39. Specifications 542,665 and 556,787, [Group XXXV], are referred to.
