573,440. Valves. TOWLER, J. M., and TOWLER, F. H. Nov. 3, 1943, No. 18197. Addition to 566,240. [Class 135] In a control valve according to the parent Specification, the transfer passages in the main valve plunger 31 for connecting the inlet 41 to the outlet 33 leading to the auxiliary mechanism are constituted by one or more grooves 51 which may be helical in form and which run from the lower (inner) end of the plunger, where they are permanently open to the inlet, to a point short of the outer end of the plunger. Inlet pressure liquid has access to the top of the dashpot piston 40 through the space existing between the sleeve 38 and the loosely-fitting stem 39 of the dashpot piston. Specifications 565,730 and 573,075 are referred to.
