Abstract

571,633. Cutting glass. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., and MADDOCK, A. J. Dec. 17, 1943, No. 21196. [Class 56] Glass in sheet or tubular form is cut by passing a high-frequency current between a pair of electrodes which are arranged one on each side of the glass. The electrodes are of small dimensions at their ends adjacent the glass ; they may be pointed or knife-shaped, and when used for cutting tubular glass they may be annular in form. Specifications 17454/07, [Class 56], and 524,126 are referred to.
