Abstract
567,344. Watch straps SCHWALBERG, A. May 24, 1943, No. 8230. [Class 43] A watch strap comprises a strap of leather or like material with an aperture in one end through which projects prong means on a metal plate lying against the face of the leather, a strip of flexible material thinner and shorter than the leather being doubled to form an eye to pass through a loop on the watch case and secured at its ends to the apertured end of the leather. If the loop on the watch case has a detachable pin, the two ends of the strip 15 of flexible material may be secured by stitches 18 to the leather strap 14, but where the pin is not detachable the prong 22 on the metal plate 20 may penetrate the strip 15, and bent over as at 24, to detachably hold one end in position on the strap 14, the other end being stitched. The plate 20 may have an eye to engage the loop on the watch. The strip 15 is made equal in strength to the strap 14.
