Abstract

564,960. Sandals. DOLEZAL, F. June 29, 1943, No. 10559. [Class 17 (ii)] The ends of sandal straps 11, 12 which pass through slits 16 in an insole 10 are enlarged as shown at 17 to assist in anchoring the straps on the insole. The ends may be bent under the insole and secured thereto by adhesive or by tie means which engage holes 20 and extend across the underside of the insole. This construction assists in retaining the straps in position when the sandal is on a last for the purpose of shaping and stretching the straps to size, and also subsequently when the sandal is in wear.
