Abstract
564,103. Heating and ventilating enclosures. NOAKES, J. Feb. 8, 1943, No. 2029. [Class 64 (i)] [Also in Groups X and XI] Air, heated by indirect contact with a fire in an air heating stove, is supplied to enclosures by an air current induced by the withdrawal of air from the enclosure by the draught created by the fire. Fresh air from a pipe 7 is supplied to the jacket 4 of a stove 1 and the heated air enters rooms 9 through a pipe 8, the air passing from room to room through apertures 9 and being withdrawn through an aperture 11, passing into the fire and up the chimney. Heaters 12 may be provided adjacent apertures 9. In a modification, the air is heated by passage through brick - work enclosing an ordinary fire-place. In Fig. 6 is shown a stove divided above the grate 19 to provide two chambers 20 and 21 which are used to heat water and air respectively, the cold air entering by pipe 22, and being supplied to the enclosure through pipe 24, and the air current through the enclosure being created by the draught through the fire which is supplied with air from the enclosure through aperture 25.
