Abstract
563,982. Eye-lash curlers..KURLASH CO., Inc., TUTTLE, W. R., and STICKEL, C. W. April 9, 1943, No. 5712. [Class 131] In an eye-lash curler of the type described in Specifications 336,872, [Class 131], 398,749, 434,010 and 445,173, the lower jaw is guided in the vertical arms of the stationary jaw so that no moving part contacts with the face during the normal operation of the curler. The stationary jaw 30 is carried by vertical and parallel arms 18<1>, 19<1> forming part of the structure 15, 16, 18, 19 and channels 70, 71 are formed in these arms 18<1>, 19<1> for the spherical ends 21 of the lower movable jaw 20 which is operated by the link 24, 25 of shape shown connecting the lower jaw 20 with the lever member 10, 11. In a modification, the channels 70, 71 may be open at the upper end so that the jaws may be more fully separated. The lower jaw is of channel shape to house a resilient eye-lash gripping strip.
