Abstract
563,189. Heating stoves. DARBY, H. G. Jan. 14, 1943, No. 692. [Class 64 (iii)] The front of the structural flue 10 of a heating stove is closed by a plate 11 ,having an opening 12 to admit air to be heated, and an outlet 13 for the heated air. A main opening 14 gives access to the stove, and sliding plates 17,18 are provided which can be supported on ledges 19, 20, or lowered to close the openings. The outer plate 17 may also close the front fret 21. Openings 23 are provided at each side of the opening 14, for the admission of air. An ash-tray 25 rests on a support 24, below which a further air admission passage 35 is provided. The refractory stove body 28 is provided with heat radiating ribs 31. The stove is surmounted by a metal flue 39 having radiating ribs 40 by which air is heated in passing upward to the outlet 13.
