[Class 61 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] A stewpot or like vessel having a pair of arched handle-ears B, Fig. 2, with recesses or . sockets b intervening between the attachment portions and the wall of .the vessel is provided with a detachable handle C, Fig. 3, comprising jaws D, D<1>, spring-pressed apart and engageable over one of the ears B with the projections d, d<1> entering the upper and lower parts of the socket b, a lever F being pivoted to lugs E bent up from the lower jaw and adapted, when turned down, to hold the jaws closed.
