Abstract

557,562. Hydraulic cement. BERRY, A. H. G. May 22, 1942, No. 7021. [Class 22] Gypsum &c., a compound containing tannin, and a distributing agent are mixed and added to Portland cement, blast furnace slag cement, or a puzzuolanic cement. The mixture may be added during manufacture or when making concrete, mortar, or a cement-water mixture. As an example, one part of tannin is mixed with 10 of gypsum, and one part of the mixture with two hundred of puzzuolana as distributing agent.; 5 pounds of the latter mixture is used with 1 cwt. of cement. Specifications 13542/14, [Class 22], and 354,502 are referred to.
