557,480. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control apparatus. VICKERS, Inc. Dec. 19, 1941, No. 16384. Convention date, Oct. 26, 1940. [Class 135] In a pressure actuated device controlling the output of a variable delivery pump of the type in which a piston 7 connected to the volume control member 3 is normally urged by a spring 25 into full volume position, the pressure connection between the pump and the piston includes a balanced valve 58 controlled by a pilot valve 74 acted on by an adjustable spring 78. The valve 58 has a head 60 and piston 66 having a leak bore 70 and is acted on by a spring 72. The pump delivery line may have a relief valve 82 similar to the valve 58 and controlled by the pilot valve 74 or a separate pilot valve, the arrangement being such that the opening pressure is somewhat in excess of the control pressure determined by the valve 74. Specification 519,290, [Group XXVIII], is referred to.
