Abstract

555,952. Maps. RADO, L. April 14, 1942, No. 4886. [Class 146 (ii)] A geographical map is provided with movable markers 3, which are held in place by magnetic means. The map may be hung over a sheet iron backing and the markers provided with small permanent magnets, or the backing may be magnetized, e.g. electrically. A number of markers may be connected together by threads &c., or a chain may be used for marking boundaries. The markers may be in the form of movable map sections having interfitting edges. The map may be in the form of a globe, in which case the markers are suitably curved. Specifications 20070/04, [Class 146], and 272,272, [Class 146 (ii)], are referred to.
