Abstract
555,541. Head bandages. SCHORER, J. E. April 28, 1942, No. 5686. [Class 81 (ii)] A head bandage comprises a flat piece of material having a top zone 1 and a back zone 2, which are adapted to cover respectively the top and back of the head, and wing portions 3, 4 extending laterally from the zones, the portions 3 being adapted to extend up the sides of the head towards the forehead and to be connected to the front of the zone above the forehead and the portions 3 extending downwards so as to overlie the wing portions 4 and being secured in such position. As shown tapes 15 are provided on the wing portions 4 and, in use, are passed beneath a tab 8 and through an opening 7 in the centre of the top zone 1 and tied together : the wing portions 3 are now brought down over the portions 4 and tapes 12, passing through a tubular hem on the edge 6 of the zone 1, are tied together beneath the chin of the wearer and tapes 16 on the portions 3 are tied together behind the head. Wing extensions 13 may be provided and these are passed beneath the wearer's chin and tapes 14 on the extensions are passed to the opposite sides of the neck and tied to tapes 17 on the zone 2. The tape 12 may be a draw tape to vary the size of the face opening provided by the bandage.
