552,985. Transformers. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI & CIE. July 4, 1941, No. 8487. Convention date, July 18, 1940. [Class 38 (ii)] A transformer casing is filled with a cooling and insulating medium in the form of a subdivided solid material such as glass, quartz, or porcelain, and a gas, such as air, under pressure, the gas permeating the spaces between the solid particles. The solid material comprises coarse particles or lumps with the spaces therebetween filled with a powder of the same or a different material. Specification 500,877 is referred to.
