Abstract
548,069. Air-raid shelters. BAKER, J. F. Jan. 22, 1941, No. 872. [Class 20 (i)] An indoor shelter comprises a rectilinear framework of metal 1, 3, with removable openwork side and end closures 11 ; a solid top 10 of metal, wood or the like may be fitted. The bottom may be closed by resilient crossed members 6 to form a mattress support, and in the case of shelters of more than one tier, the dividing partitions are each formed resilient to provide mattress supports. The closure panels are secured to the framework members by bolts 12 and washers 13.
