Abstract

544,626. Fusible cut-outs. BOOTH, N. R. Jan. 17, 1941, No. 636. [Class 38 (i)] A bridge-carrier fuse has an indicator disc d pivoted in a slot b in the carrier and formed with a groove d<2> in which the fuse wire e lies. The wire retains the disc in the position shown against a tendency to turn by gravity about the pivot d<1>. When the fuse blows the disc turns and so projects from the carrier. In order more completely to close the slot b against blast a rim may be provided on each face of the disc fitting in corresponding grooves at the ends of the slot.
