544,506. Stropping safety razor blades. IRVING, R. E. Jan. 9, 1941, No. 322. [Class 60] A holder for use in stropping safety razor blades is made from a strip a folded over on itself at a<SP>1</SP> and a2 to form spring clamping plates. Pips j, k are embossed to assist in fixing and holding the blades. After the blade to be sharpened has been inserted it is clamped in position by a bolt and nut g, h sliding in a slot f in the part a and engaging open-ended slots in the parts a<SP>1</SP>, a<SP>2</SP>. The part not in use for blade holding serves as a handle. One clamp is designed for three hole and like blades and the other for single-edged blades with reinforced back.
