Abstract
542,900. Nuts. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. May 14, 1941, No. 6210. Convention date, May 29, 1940. Addition to 511,488. [Class 89 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] Nuts accordting to the parent Specification have a shoulder or portion 18 spaced from the free end of each leg and-extending across the entire width for engaging one surface of the supporting part 1 which is recessed at 23 to receive the flange ends 19 of the legs which are connected at their inner ends by a substantially semi-spherical portion 2. The nut is made from a strip by stamping to form end parts and the curved portions with the threads 16. The centre part 20 is then cupped to form the part 2 bending the lugs into the shape shown in Fig. 1.
