Abstract

541,950. Electric battery torches. SULLAM, S. D. Aug. 19, 1940, No. 13181. [Class 39 (ii)] The casing of an electric torch consists of two semi - cylindrical parts 1, 1a which meet together to form a cylinder closed at the bottom and open at the top. The two halves are held together at the bottom by a disc 6, cupped to fit over or around semi - circular ridges 5 on the two halves or apertured to fit into projections upstanding from the two halves. The two halves are held together at the top by a screwed cap which holds the glass cover and the reflector carrying the lamp socket in place. A groove 10 in the side of one of the sections takes a connection 11 to the usual spring 12 and also accommodates a blade contact 11a which is in engagement with the socket and can be pressed into contact with 11.
