Abstract
540,753. Fluid-pressure governors. ASCOT GAS WATER HEATERS, Ltd., and GREEN, L. A. May 16, 1940, No. 8768. [Class 135] A fluid pressure governor is actuated by a hollow flexible member such as a bladder mounted in a casing in such a manner that it is substantially confined by the walls of the casing leaving only a section which is free to rise and fall according to variations in the pressure of fluid admitted to the inside of the flexible member. In the form shown the flexible member 10 is secured to a partition 27a by inter-engaging flanged rings 28. The partition 27a is secured to the main casing 24 by a cover 25 which also carries an adjustable abutment 30 by a loading spring 29 acting on a plate 15 resting on the upper surface of the flexible member. The valve member 31 which co-operates with a removable seat 32 is mounted on a spindle 33 having a head 34 held against the inner surface of the flexible member by a light spring 35.
