Abstract

538,682. Sleeve couplings ; cable terminals. DUSSEK BITUMEN & TAROLEUM, Ltd., and DEACON, E. A. Feb. 6, 1940, No. 2323. [Class 38 (i)] The cable ends 6, 7 are gripped by a sleeve 3 divided longitudinally into two parts, roughened internally, as by a helical groove and coned externally so as to be compressed by nuts 9 screwing into a body 1. The body 1 and nuts 9 may be hexagonal externally. In a modification a cable terminal may be produced by forming one of the nuts 9 with an eye for bolting to a bus-bar &c.
