537,990. Battery lamps combined with vanity cases. RAMON, G. Jan. 17, 1940, No. 1051. [Class 39 (ii)] [Also in Group XVII] A drawer-and-shell vanity case has an electric lamp 12, Fig. 2, and battery 9 mounted in the drawer 4, contacts 11, 13 being connected by a metal strip 14, Fig. 1, when the drawer is pulled outwards so that the lamp lights automatically. Surface 2 is a mirror, translucent at 3; a powder recess 8, and a clip 5 for a lipstick are also provided. In another form the reflecting surface consists of piece of mirrored glass with a portion of the glass cut away to form a lens to distribute the light evenly on the face. The battery and lamp may be positioned in the shell of the container.
