Abstract

537,185. Door-operating appliances; hinges. ULFVING, S. E. H. Dec. 11, 1939, No. 31993. Convention date, Dec. 19, 1938. [Classes 65 (i) and 65 (ii)] A door closer comprises a pair of curved arms 1, 2 pivoted together at 5 at their free ends, and to the door 9 and door frame 10 at their opposite ends. The arms are drawn together by one or more tension springs 6, and when the door has been opened to a certain extent, the springs are bent to dead centre by the ends 7, 8 of the arms, as in Fig. 3, and the door remains open.
