536,937. Cables. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. May 10, 1940, No. 8451. Convention date, May 12, 1939. [Class 36] A retractile electric cord 6 covered with resilient material, is first wound in a helix, and the convolutions then inverted, as by pulling one end through to the other end by means of a rod 7 whereby the convolutions tend to press against one another. The material may be rubber, vulcanized after the first winding and before the inverting operation.
