Abstract

536,161. Elastic.fluid turbines. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Feb. 28, 1940, No. 3677. 'Convention date, March 1, 1939. [Class 110 (iii)] Blades 8 straddled upon an undercut rib 6 are entered at a cross-slot 14 which extends into the rim 10. The slot is closed by a block 15 which is secured by peening the edges against the chamfer 17. The sides of the block are slightly undercut so that pressure is applied to the adjacent blade roots by the surfaces 22 only. The portion of the cross-slot in the rib 6 is wider than the blade roots and the block 15.
