536,083. Moulding asphaltic bitumen blocks. ANGLO-SAXON PETROLEUM CO., Ltd., GRIFFITHS, P. M., and HULL, C. May 8, 1940, No. 8283. [Class 87 (ii)] Asphaltic bitumen blocks are cast in polygonal blocks for transport by pouring the molten bitumen, pitch, asphalt, &c. into a mould divided into a number of polygonal compartments by walls 1 having slots 2 allowing the liquid material to flow from one compartment to another. The walls may be made of steel plate bent to form two or more walls of the compartments, or straight lengths joined by transverse short lengths may be used.
