[Class 86] In a mixer comprising a rotary stirrer mounted on a frame, the usual hoop-shaped stirrer has a disc attached thereto having hooded apertures, whereby the material is directed downwardly. The hoop-shaped stirrer 21 is secured to the disc 10 by an eyelet 18 through which the frame 20 passes, the disc having hooded apertures 12, and a depending rim 11.
