532,961. Asymmetrically-conducting resistances. WESTINGHOUSE BRAKE & SIGNAL CO., Ltd. Aug. 3, 1939, No. 22590 Convention date, Sept. 21, 1938. [Class 37] A selenium-coated element of a rectifier is subjected to a bath of an alkaline reaction, in the course of manufacture, to improve the characteristics. The selenium may have added selenium oxide, or small quantities of oxides or oxy-halogen compounds of sulphur or selenium.
