531,973. Vinyl acetate. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. 1., and STAMATOFF, G. S. July 14, 1939, No. 20550. [Class 2 (iii)] The polymerization of monomeric vinyl acetate is inhibited by adding resin or a resinate of copper, zinc, magnesium, aluminium or cobalt. Copper resinate is preferably used. In examples the percentage of polymer formed after heating vinyl acetate under reflux for twentyfour hours is found for the various inhibitors.
