531,823. Glass manufacture. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. July 4, 1939, No. 19509. Convention date, July 7, 1938. [Class 56] [Also in Group XXXVI] A glass suitable for sealing with molybdenum preferably has a softening temperature higher than 550‹C and may contain 15-23 per cent. of aluminium oxide. In an example the glass contains 55 per cent. of SiO 2 , 15 of B 2 O 3 , 20 of Al 2 O 3 , of MgO, 2 of ZnO and 5 of Na 2 O. Other glasses referred to contain 66 per cent. of SiO 2 , 22 of Al 2 O 3 and 12 of CaO or 72 of SiO 2 , 10 of Al 20 3 , 10 of CaO and 8 of B 2 O 3 .
