530,805. Grease-gun couplings. WAKEFIELD & CO., Ltd., C. C. (Akester, E.). Aug. 18, 1939, No. 2459. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 27, 1939.] [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXVI] A grease gun having means for positively connecting it to a nipple has an annular projection 3 at its outlet which is a loose fit over the nipple. A nut 4 on the body 1 has a slotted and broken flange 5 so that the nipple can be introduced transversely and clamped between the nut and the body. The nut is retained on the body by a part flange (not shown) on a sleeve 14 secured to the nut after the latter is screwed on the body. The grease is admitted through a downwardly inclined opening 13 and the conical end of the plunger 2 engages a corresponding seat on a plug 10 screwed into the body.
