[Class 49] [Also in Group f] A process of producing a cereal food-product comprises forming a dough by the addition of water to a farinaceous material, cooking the dough, forming the cooked dough into pellets, drying the pellets to a moisture content of from 11 to 16 per cent, subjecting the pellets to a pressure of from 80 to 110 pounds per square inch at temperatures of from 375‹ F. to 450‹ F, suddenly releasing the pressure and thereby permitting the pellets to expand, and then drying the expanded product. In an example the farinaceous material consists of white corn cones with small percentage additions of yellow corn cones, cane sugar, salt, tapioca flour, wheat germ. nao-sodium phosphate, disodium phosphate and calcium carbonate.
