530,151. Hydraulic brakes. ROVER CO., Ltd., and INVERSEN, P. A. SCOTT-. June 19, 1939, No. 17821. [Class 103 (i)] In order to prevent overheating of the operating liquid of hydraulic brakes, the brake cylinder a disposed within the brake drum d, is provided with a lateral extension b which projects through the back plate c and preferably has cooling ribs f, so as to expose an effective cooling surface outside the brake. In another construction, a tubular cooling coil is mounted on the cylinder outside the back plate and is connected by passages to the interior of the cylinder. Specification 343,591 is referred to.
