Abstract

526,940. Electromagnetic interrupters. ERICSSON TELEPHONES, Ltd., and DISTIN, L. S. March 30, 1939, No. 9919. [Class 38 (v)] In an elctromagnetic interrupter the armature 9 forms part of a vibratory mass pivotally supported at or near its centre of gravity by an S- shaped spring 8. The armature is adapted to be attracted to a pole piece 5 and it carries two pegs 11 adapted to engage a contact spring 12 arranged between them, thereby breaking at 13 the energizing circuit of the electromagnet 1. The spring 12 may also move between contacts 14, 15 connected in a circuit such as described in Specification 470,355 whereby the device serves to convert D.C. to A.C.
