Abstract

526,426. Rolling. SCHLOEMANN AKT.- GES. March 6, 1939, No. 7325. Convention date, March 22, 1938. [Class 83 (iv)] A set of rolls can be removed, and replaced by another set, by means of a turntable 2, carrying a radially traversable coupling 11 on the turntable engageable with the roll set and thereby pulling the set on to the table, rotating the table until the set comes opposite, and is then discharged on, the required discharge rails, e.g.- 4, picking up another roll set, ready on another set of rails, and conveying and locating it in the roll stand. The conveyer 11 for moving a roll set on or off the table 2 is operated by nut and spindle 10 rotated by motor 8 and worm gear 9 while the table rotation is imparted through driving gear 12, 13.
