525,848. Electrodeposition of nickel. POTTS, H. E. (Udylite Corporation). March 2, 1939. No. 6788. [Class41] Nickel is deposited from an acid nickel solution in presence of an aldehyde or ketone of the general formula R1-CO-R2 where R1 is an organic radical and R2 is an organic radical or hydrogen. The bath may contain boric acid and a chloride. Examples of suitable compounds include croton aldehyde, chloral aldehyde and , furfural. Ketones containing two-CO-groups are more effective than those with one only.
