Abstract
525,435. Loom jacquards. CRABTREE & SON, Ltd., D., and FELTON, W. Feb. 21, 1939, No. 5710. [Class 142 (i)] In a jacquard for a pile loom in which the pile yarn carriers 9 are raised to different heights to present different yarns to the grippers 10, the lifting slides 4 to which the carriers 9 are connected have a dished or channel centre portion as shown with parts 6a at right angles to the centre portion and flanges 6b parallel thereto. The selector pins 4 are guided in holes in the parts 6a and are braked by springs 12 which may be tongues pressed out of the centre part. The flanges 6b may be slit at a, b and the sections above bent as shown in Fig. 7 to limit the drop of the slides 6.
