[Class 80 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A friction clutch of the " Weston " type in which the plates e are pressed into en gagement by fluid pressure acting on a piston g is combinec with a brake comprising a disc r slidable on supporting studs k and adapted to be clamped between a flange h on the driven member d and a flange gx or the piston. In a modification ir which two clutches are combined the brake disc is clamped between the pistor flanges of the clutches, the brake acting only when neither clutch is in driving engagement.
