Abstract
524,845. Railway signals. VEREINIGTE EISENBAHN-SIGNALWERKE GES. Feb. 8, 1939, No. 4218. Convention date, Feb. 8, 1938. [Class 105] Railway signal and points control apparatus provided with route levers and individual points levers has the points levers automatically moved by electromagnets into correspondence following upon movement of the points under a route lever operation. The points levers 2 are shown arranged in the track diagram so as to line up with the appropriate track 4 or 5 and shafts 6 carry pieces 7, 10 by which contacts 9,11 are closed. An armature 12 on each points lever shaft is actuated by magnets 14 or 13 ener- 20 according to gized over detector contacts 19, 20 according to the setting of the points. The points are operated when a control relay 15 or 16 is energized either by a route lever contact 18 or 17, or by a points lever contact 9 or 11. The magnet 14 or 13 is de-energized as soon as the points start to move and when the points are in the new position the contact 19 or 20 is closed, so energizing the magnet 14 or 13 to move the points lever 2 to the new position. For individual operation of the points the points lever 2 is moved over manually, a finger contact 21 being provided to break the circuit to the magnets 14, 13 so that free movement is allowed.
